Your doll will be a life-time companion if she is properly cared for.
Look after your doll’s luscious locks. For best styling results, lightly mist your doll’s hair with water as needed before brushing with a wire brush. Be sure not to get water in her eyes – they may rust! Divide the hair into small sections and gently brush them one at a time. Avoid styling products such as mousse or gel, this may damage the hair. Avoid using blow dryers, hot rollers, curling or straightening irons as this will damage the hair.
Keep your doll looking fresh faced by following a few simple skin-care rules. The skin of Little Mummies dolls is made of soft vinyl with a matte finish. It has been developed to look as authentic and life-like as possible. Unlike hard plastic, this soft vinyl is a porous material that will absorb some strong dyes found in textiles, makeup, coloured markers, pens, and ink. While cleaning your doll, always cover her eyes to avoid getting water in them, which can cause rust. Try to keep her soft-fabric body and her hair as dry as possible. Remember, never submerge your doll in water. For general cleaning of your doll’s skin, we recommend the following:
1. Make a paste of baking soda and lukewarm water.
2. Rub the paste into the doll gently, in a circular motion.
3. Dampen a soft washcloth and wipe on doll, to remove residue.
4. Repeat this action until all paste is removed.
5. Towel dry your doll.
All of our dolls are huggable, due to the soft-cloth body that is sewn and stuffed by hand. Each doll also has a neck cord that secures her head to her body, so be sure not to cut the cord. To keep your doll looking great, we encourage regular cuddles, respectful play, and lots of love!
